Introduction

The Public Secondary School Konjic is a public educational and training institution dedicated to helping young people develop knowledge, skills and confidence for their future, guided by its motto “Knowledge is Power.” It provides general and vocational secondary education aligned with labour-market needs and modern learning standards. By combining classroom learning with practical training, digital tools and extracurricular activities, the School prepares students for further education and employment. Through cooperation with families, employers and the local community, it shapes responsible, skilled and motivated young people ready to contribute to regional social and economic development.

Thematic relevance

Public Secondary School Konjic has long-standing role in vocational education rooted in local craft and apprenticeship traditions. Through programmes in metalworking, machining, welding and hospitality, the School preserves practical skills that have long shaped the economic and cultural identity of the Konjic area. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technologies and work-based learning, it supports the transmission and valorisation of craft knowledge. The School contributes to youth employability, continuity of craft professions and increased visibility of craft-based skills and services, supporting cultural heritage crafts and sustainable regional development in local communities.
