Introduction

The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology provides the necessary support to strengthen the international competitiveness of Slovenian companies. The Ministry together with other relevant ministries, signed the strategic document "National Alliance for Handicrafts", which committed all relevant stakeholders in the field of handicrafts to co-create the basis for the adoption of effective protective measures to ensure the preservation and development of handicraft knowledge and the economic survival of its holders. The importance of the Ministry is that it is directly supporting handicrafts attainments by having signed the “National Alliance for Handicrafts” and acting along its principles. This policy making and implementing body is valuable for all PPs and Slovenian partners too as it has the policy means to promote rational and value protecting regulations about crafts. The added value is the in-depth knowledge of the crafts eco-systems interpreting the models to policy makers clearly.
