Introduction

The Association for Economic Development REDAH, established in 2003, was founded by mayors from 23 municipalities across Herzegovina, covering both the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska, together with chambers and civil society organisations. REDAH strengthens regional competitiveness by supporting SMEs, rural and tourism development, and access to EU and other development funds. Through project preparation, partnership building and capacity development, it contributes to sustainable regional growth. REDAH also acts as the regional technical secretariat for the Bike Friendly Standard (www.bikefriendlystandard.com), promoting cycling-friendly tourism region-wide.

Thematic relevance

The Association for Economic Development REDAH is thematically relevant due to its long-standing mission to promote integrated, inclusive and sustainable development across Herzegovina. Established to address regional disparities and unlock local potential, REDAH supports SMEs, entrepreneurship, rural development, tourism, innovation and employment. Through strategic planning, EU-funded project development, partnership building and capacity strengthening, the Association translates local needs into practical development solutions. By connecting public institutions, businesses and civil society, REDAH contributes to effective use of regional resources, stronger competitiveness and resilient economic growth, including the sustainable development of tourism across the region.
