Introduction

Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities is responsible for education, regulatory and administrative affairs, and the protection and promotion of the rights of national minorities, in accordance with the law and the Statute. The Secretariat prepares strategic and regulatory acts, oversees the education system at the provincial level, supports multilingualism and cultural diversity, and strengthens administrative capacities. Through its work, it contributes to inclusive governance, quality education, preservation of minority identities and the development of a cohesive, diverse and rights-based society in Vojvodina.

Thematic relevance

The Secretariat has strong thematic relevance to crafts through education, cultural diversity and minority policies. Traditional crafts are closely linked to the cultural identities of national minorities and represent an important channel for intangible heritage. Through formal and non-formal education, minority-language schooling, curricula enrichment and support to cultural institutions, the Secretariat enables the transmission of traditional craft skills to younger generations. By promoting equal access to education, lifelong learning and and by supporting initiatives of national minority communities, the Secretariat contributes to the social valorisation of crafts as a shared cultural and educational resource that fosters cohesion, creativity and inclusive local development.
