Introduction
Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government is responsible for planning and implementing policies for balanced regional development, interregional cooperation and the strengthening of local self-government. The Secretariat prepares strategic and regulatory acts, monitors development programmes and coordinates activities related to EU instruments. Through support to development initiatives, public calls and local partnerships, its work also enables the preservation and sustainable valorisation of traditional crafts as part of local economic development, cultural identity and community-based growth across Vojvodina.
Thematic relevance
Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government through strategic planning and support measures, enhances local capacities and promotes sustainable development initiatives. A significant part of this mandate is implemented through public calls for events that preserve tradition, which support festivals, fairs and manifestations dedicated to traditional crafts, skills and knowledge. By financing and promoting such events, the Secretariat connects cultural heritage with local economic development, tourism and community engagement, contributing to the preservation and contemporary valorisation of crafts across Vojvodina.
