The Konjic Woodcarving Museum is dedicated to preserving, presenting and promoting the centuries-old woodcarving tradition of Konjic, inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Through authentic exhibits, tools, archival materials and storytelling, the Museum safeguards the knowledge, skills and values passed down through generations of master carvers. Its mission is to raise awareness of this living craft heritage, support its transmission to future generations, and connect traditional craftsmanship with contemporary creativity, education and cultural dialogue at local and international levels.

The Konjic Woodcarving Museum welcomes visitors to discover a unique living craft tradition that has shaped the identity of Konjic for centuries. Located within the Zanat Woodcarving complex, the Museum offers an intimate look at the UNESCO-recognised art of woodcarving through original furniture, tools, photographs and personal stories of master craftsmen. Visitors can learn how skills were passed from generation to generation, observe fine details carved by hand, and understand the patience and creativity behind each piece. The Museum provides guided tours and occasional live demonstrations, creating a warm, authentic experience that invites visitors to slow down, ask questions and connect personally with local craftsmanship.
